We pledge to serve the best of the Island. What we don’t grow and ethically raise on our own 10-acre farm, we proudly source from other, like-minded farmers + food purveyors. We compost everything we can from the restaurant to enrich our farm’s soil.
The Pier Experience
10 Acres at The Pier is a lively, welcoming, and energetic restaurant. Perfect for meeting friends, family, or colleagues for a celebration, important meal together, or a casual gathering. Relaxing on our ocean view patio is a perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening.
Our menu features Ocean wise and sustainably caught local Seafood. Including freshly shucked oysters from our “Raw Bar.” Join us for happy hour and find our oysters are 50% off every day. Our meats are locally & ethically raised from “Berryman Brothers Farm” & “Four Quarters Meats”. Including pigs raised on our own farm using food from our restaurants. They are the best fed and happiest pigs on the Island!
Farm-to-table, to us, is not a buzz word or a “phase”, it is how we live. Our farmers work incredibly hard, year-round, to ensure that our farm is producing the best herbs, fruits & vegetables we can.
10 Acres follows a true omnivore philosophy. We believe that no part of an animal should be wasted. You will happily find many vegetarian items on our menus, as our beautiful seasonal fruits & vegetables from the farm showcase amazingly on their own. However, while we are happy to create and accommodate vegetarian dishes, we do not have many vegan options. Some wonderful vegan restaurants in greater Victoria would perhaps be a better choice for those requiring that style of menu.
Sustainability is the foundation for everything that we do at 10 Acres. From the way we farm, to our waste reduction strategies and being long ago pioneers of the “straws suck” movement, to our militant composting methods. Last year alone, we composted over 60 tons of restaurant food waste.
10 Acres wine program is led by our head sommelier Adriano Cartuliares. He is incredibly excited to curate, find, and collect a diverse range of fine wine and spirits to create the best wine cellar on the peninsula. Local craft beer & bespoke cocktails are also all part of an exciting bar program. Our cocktails created intending to featuring fruits & herbs from our farm and some of Vancouver Island’s best-brewed beer & spirits.
