10 Acres

Our Farm

Welcome to 10 Acres Farm & Restaurant Group. With three separate locations supplied by our 10 acre farm there is something for everyone, in each of our unique downtown Victoria restaurants.

Naturally grown + raised on our 10 acre farm

10 Acres farm in North Saanich is just 25 km from our downtown restaurants. Our farmers + chefs are in constant contact about weekly deliveries. Whether it’s fresh greenhouse or field grown veggies, orchard and vine fruit, honey from our bees or free range animal products, you’ll see innovative uses of local products on our menus.

From The Farm

What’s In Season

We are inspired to grow a range of different foods at 10 Acres Farm – some familiar, some new, always unique and nutritious. Our vegetables are mainly grown from heirloom seeds and are selected for their outstanding flavors and nutrient value, their suitability to our West Coast climate, and their visual appeal. When possible, we source from small Canadian seed businesses, from varieties that have passed through family generations.

Quince, pear, beets, celeriac, winter squash, preserved sweet peppers, herbs, walnuts, parsnip, kale, leeks, onion, garlic, pasture-raised pork.

Orchard & Bees

Our orchard has been planted with a range of fruits and nut varieites suitable for preparation in our restaurants. During late summer preserves such as jams, jellies or chutneys are made. Ripe fruit is made into housemade ice cream at the Kitchen and berries and melons form the basis of our dessert menu and creative cocktails.

Our bees work hard to pollinate our fruit trees and flowers gathering nectar from spring maple flow and cane berries and flowers throughout the summer.

Cherries, plums, lemons, limes, figs, quince, olives, kiwis, grapes, strawberries, tayberries, apples, marionberries, blueberries, peaches, blackberries, raspberries, apricots, loganberries, peaches, blackcurrant, pears, persimmons, walnuts & hazelnuts

All animals on the farm are grass pastured; this diet is supplemented with non GMO feed, spent grains from Swan’s Brewpub and vegetable trim from the kitchens at 10 Acres Bistro, Kitchen + Commons.

Our livestock breeds are selected using the same criteria as our crops. We choose to raise heritage breed animals who are suited to an outdoor life where foraging is their natural instinct. Their varied diet ensures a healthy animal and the very best texture and flavour to the end product. Our animals may not grow the biggest or fastest, but we believe it is the ethical choice.

turkeys, heritage breed Ossabaw Island hogs and Pekin ducks for meat; although we have reared a range of healthy happy animals over the years.
